About the job

Manages all areas of responsibility for the facilities Bio-Skills Lab regarding demonstration and training for clients, distributors and representatives. Daily activities include maintaining equipment/environment, handling specimens, lab logistics and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and audit compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facility’s Bio-Skills Lab (demonstration and training room) for our clients, distributors and representatives.
  • Oversee all the inventory for the Bio-Skills Lab including certificates/forms, scrubs, lead aprons, other PPE as required and specimens including ordering and storage.
  • Manage calendar planning and partner cross functionally to support Lab Sessions. Notify other departments of Bio-Skills Lab session scheduling/cancellation and ensure there are no conflicts or double booking.
  • Process necessary forms and prepare documentation prior to Bio-Skills Lab sessions.
  • Manage cadaveric inventory including tag information for entry, storage temperature control and location for maintenance and audit.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Bio-Skills Lab room prior to a session including instrumentation supply, specimen preparation and room conditions meet the appropriate standards.
  • Manage all logistics during the session including ensuring a continuous level of instrumentation, proper lighting, air temperature in the room, irrigation, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues regarding logistics, scheduling and inventory with leadership guidance from the Clinical Operations Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with established SOP, processes and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years professional experience as Bio-Skills Lab Manager or Technician with certification in related fields a plus.
  • Strong Computer Skills: MS OFFICE (Excel and Outlook required)
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including active listening.
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Able to lift and move specimens including cadaveric tissue for Bio-Skills Lab preparation and inventory control.
  • Proactive mindset with strong ability to prioritize.
  • Logical thinker with the ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization.
  • Detail oriented with strong commitment to accuracy and precision in work output.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, Sitting, Walking, lifting (up to 60+lbs), Push/Pull, Twisting, Bending, Reaching Forward/Overhead, Fine Motor Skill Activity, Keyboard/repetitive Motion.
  • Work is performed more than 50% of the time in an x-ray environment (PPE is provided).

Schedule/Location:

  • Full time – 5 days/week – on site.
  • Flexible schedule required to support Bio-Skills Labs on Saturday, Sunday &/or after hours on weekdays (when they occur)
  • El Segundo, California
  • Salary range is $90,000- $110,000/annual
